Emergency Light Basic
The Emergency Lighting Basic Course one day course is based upon BS5266:1
It is vital that the emergency lighting automatically operates in the event of normal lighting failure and meets the requirements of BS5266 which is a legal requirement under the RRFSO . The illumination levels and period of time the illumination can be sustained should be sufficient to allow the building occupants to evacuate safely, Say in a Safe area, Enable Shutdown of equipment and locate both fire alarm, fire fighting and first aid equipment.
Within the day you will be reading through and interpreting the relevant parts of BS 5266 and understanding the basics of interpretation to allow you to be able to be compliant for testing at a basic level
We teach both in the form of desktop and practical workshop to allow attends to have hands on experience of the testing process and to be able to complete a logbook to prove that the systems have meet the requirements of BS5266-1.
